These experiences give her a unique science-business-society lens though which she has over 8years of success in the fields of international conservation, resource management, organizational change, and sustainability reporting. She currently pursues interdisciplinary work in sustainability, corporate responsibility and climate change impacts. Claudia’s work puts her in contact with a wide array of people from private, not-for-profit, academic, and government sectors.  Claudia holds multiple post-graduate degrees in science, policy and management from both the University of Washington and Washington State University as well as a B.A. in environmental science from Northwestern University. Active in the Seattle community, Claudia mentors for the UW Global Social Entrepreneurship Competition, an international business plan competition that seeks to alleviate global poverty through small enterprise.  She also participates in, volunteers and facilitates activities with organizations like The Mountaineers, The Coastal Society, Net Impact, Girls on the Run, and Team in Training.  Claudia is passionate about the importance of cultural exchange, work-life balance, and informed environmental conservation. She got hooked on experiential education while living and studying in East Africa with the School for International Training and 23 countries later, she still hasn’t stopped connecting people to the joys of international travel.  She loves backcountry skiing and hiking, climbing, sailing, scuba diving, trail running, art, wine and haute cuisine and feels equally at home in both Tuscany and Tanzania.
